Since 2017, we have been working on the “Belt Chain” project, a hybrid belt that combines the benefits of both belts and chains. 
It offers the advantages of belts (clean, quiet, and length-stable) and chains (open assembly and customizable lengths through the joining of segments). 
After registering several patents and developing a particularly complex manufacturing process to produce belts of any length with continuous cords ideally positioned and tensioned, we are launching ERO Joint® B1 in 14M at the end of 2024. The 8M version will follow in 2025.

This “transmission” version of the ERO Joint® HP, entirely manufactured by Tanals, features continuous cables and is produced to the final specified length. 
It is designed to replace any standard transmission belt, providing quick machine repair solutions. 
The ERO Joint® B1 is a belt that can be assembled like a chain. Multiple segments can be joined to achieve any belt length, with no length limitations.

In the 14M version, it is stocked in about ten standard lengths. By combining these base lengths, any size in the range can be achieved through assembly. 
The ERO Joint® B1 is stocked closed, in sleeves, assembled by a plastic pin. 
These sleeves can be cut to width on any belt-cutting machine. Once the plastic pin has been removed, the belt is opened. If required, several sections of the same width can be joined together to form a longer belt.

The ERO Joint® B1 can be used on HTD pulleys, or pulleys with curvilinear teeth (e.g. Poly Chain® type).
